Any scar is to some extent restricting the free flow of energy (aka qi) in the body. Depending on size, depth and location of the scar it can cause local pain or discomfort, radiating or restricted movement and possibly interfere with proper organ function. Acupuncture can help to soften the scar tissue, break down adhesions that encroach upon underlying structures and improve circulation.흉터치료

Traditional Chinese Medicine takes all factors into account when assessing and treating the skin. This includes physical, emotional and environmental imbalances that may be contributing to poor skin conditions. Acupuncture, accompanied by herbal supplements, topical treatments and dietary or lifestyle changes is an effective way to treat and heal scars.여드름흉터치료
During treatment the scar is palpated to determine if it feels tender to touch or if there is pain or tightness associated with it. Acupuncture points are placed around the scar to bring qi and blood into the area. A more assertive technique is to insert needles directly into the scar to mechanically break up obstruction or further loosen the scar and surrounding fascia. This method is more suitable for older or deeper scars. Most new scars will respond with a softening of the scar and surrounding tissue after a few treatments, but some require weekly sessions over a period of weeks before results are felt.
